Beautiful Mess Candle Company: Detox Facial Mask Review

If you have read my previous beauty posts, then you know I love finding and using organic beauty products for my skin.  My skin has been through a lot throughout the years, and occassionally breaks out whenever I am stressed or during my menstrual cycle. For me, I find that a once-a-week facial mask to deeply detox and nourish my face really helps keep my skin on track. I am so happy I had the opportunity to meet the owner of Beautiful Mess Candle Company, Leslie, at a fitness event a few months ago. Her philosophy on health and wellness inspired me and I just had to try her facial mask.

The Brand

What is a Beautiful Mess? This is what I asked Leslie to understand the meaning behind the name. Basically, Beautiful Mess is accepting, loving and finding the beauity in yourself & life despite all the chaos surrounding it. Beautiful Mess Candles started out with 100% Pure Soy Candles. It later expanded to skin care products called Beautiful Skin & Lips. The brand truly believes in the healing power of natural and organic ingredients which is something I believe in as well. They are also involved in their community through the Shine Bright Campaign which helps local charities and non-profits with their efforts to bring awareness to different causes.

The Product & Packaging

Like I said before, Beautiful Mess Candles takes pride in all natural products. All of their products are packaged in all natural, renewable/recycled packaging that are eco-friendly! A company that cares about what goes on your skin and the environment! I loved them just for that before actually using the product. The Detox Facial Mask helps in removing everyday toxins and dirt. It restores the skin leaving dehind a beautiful glow. The ingredient list is my favorite part: short and organic! It's basically a superfood for your skin! It has:

  • Bentonite Clay -  Known as the "healing clay" helps to prevent blemishes, redness and allergic reactions to lotions or other commercial products that irritate sensitve skin.
  • Activated Charcoal -  Activated charcoal draws bacteria, poisons, chemicals and dirt to the surface of the skin, helping you to achieve a flawless complexion and fight acne.
  • Matcha Green Tea - Matcha Green Tea removes harmful toxins and fights free radicals that damage cells needed to protect our skin.
  • Rosehip Powder - This powder is packed with Vitamin C, Essential Fatty Acids and healthy minerals. It is known to help with wrinkles, anti-aging, and regeneration of new skin cells! I personally use Rosehip in an oil form as a hair conditioner! It's amazing!

After reading that list, how could you not want to slather this all over your face? After applying this on my face, the mixture hardens and I kept it on for 20 minutes. After washing it off, my skin felt like a baby's bottom! It also felt refreshed, bright and clean! I loved it! I looked a mess with the mask on my face, but my face turned out beautiful in the end. Beautiful Mess Candles recommends using the mask twice a week for great results. Each package has about 3-4 uses. I recommend this mask to anyone looking for an organic facial detox mask to include in their skin care regimen.

What does it mean to be a Beautiful Mess in my life?

Being a Beautiful Mess means accepting myself for who I am flaws and all. It means not allowing my circumtances to define and dictate where I want to be in life. My life is messy with obstacles and at times negativity, but the results of my hard work and dedication to all that I believe in is beautiful.
