6 "Beauty Products" Good Enough To Eat

I know you have heard the saying "you are what you eat." Well, it is totally a true statement. Of course, you should have a regular skin care routine filled with all your favorite creams and skincare potions, but unless you are genetically blessed, those fancy products that you swear by won't do your skin any good. I believe a skin care routine coupled with a healthy, well-balanced diet is the way to beautiful skin. 

Here are some foods I try to incorporate into my diet for healthy & beautiful skin:

  1. Blueberries Thanks to all its antioxidants, these berries are great for reparing the skin.
  2. Spinach Oh, how I love adding spinach to everything! Smoothies, eggs; as a side dish. The possibilities are endless. Spinach is packed with vitamnins A, C and E which helps heal skin damage. 

  3. Green Tea  I spoke about green tea in my last post. Green tea is filled with antioxidents that can protect your skin from the sun when coupled with sunscreen. 

  4. Tomatoes Another antioxidant-rich food that is said to protect the skin from free radicals.

  5. Flaxseed These seeds can be added to anything! They are loaded with Omega-3 fatty acids and fiber.

  6. Sweet Patatos  If you haven't picked up sweet patatoes at the grocery store for the week, go do that now! They are loaded with an antioxident, beta-cartene, that is said to be an anit-aging ingredient. 

Once you have your diet down, it is time to have fun with your favorite creams and face masks! I love to treat myself to a facial once a week!
